Hello fellow bloggers. Sorry to be missing for such a long time but I was busy with my show truck hobby and a hard chest cold. Now we're back in the pink again and ready to roll with new ideas on the Zodiac case.
Sometimes the truth is right in front of us - so close that we can't see it and that smears our thinking. Many times I've said that this case is so simple that it's hard to decipher. (No pun intended.)
I'm positive that it revolves around Vallejo and those involved in the early murders. Blue Rock Springs is the best example I think. When Darlene Ferrin and Mike Mageau were parked the killer pulled in behind them. He then left and came back with a loaded 9mm Luger and then got out of his car. Here is the critical point. Why did he walk to Mike's side instead of Darlene's? Why did he start firing at Mike first? He had to have a real personal reason for doing this. Jealousy!! It's quite possible that he was related directly to Mike. When Mike survived why did he leave the area for the long period of time that he did? Mike was full of bullet holes. Darlene, not quite so many but died of a bullet hole in the left side of her heart. The Zodiac fired only from the passenger side of the Corvair and didn't go over to Darlene's side. He intended to kill Mike. It's quite obvious who the Zodiac pro-bably is or was isn't it. Only a jealous blood relative could harbor such hatred. Darlene died of bullets hitting her in vital spots. The Zodiac was trying to kill Mike not her.
This is just a thought but I think it's a good one.
Also, all the clothes that Mike had on were not to look more bulky but were there for some protection - poor as it was.
Don't forget the beautiful website of Ricardo Gomez's mk-zodiac.com
PS. Too bad we don't have a voice graph from the VPD, if there was one, so we could match it with those in the Mageau family.
Hi, I would say the first time Zodiac pulled in behind Darlene and Mike, he could tell with his headlights shining through their back window, that a female was driving and a male was in the passenger seat. He would approach the male first since he would be more of a threat. I think he left because he was just making sure the coast was clear, and that nobody was around in the area before he made his move. Just checking it out the first time to get a scan of the scene, then double checking that nobody was headed that way. Just my opinion.
