Having used the Hardens Key on the celebrity post card in the previous blog I seem to find it difficult to go any further while using their key. This may take some time to get further results on this post card.
However, as far as names go that may fit on the upper left side and lower right side of the card there seems to be three possibilities. I talked with Ricardo Gomez Monday night and we agreed that to put any names down might be a poor idea. All three names are included in Robert Graysmith's book Zodiac. Ricardo is working on the information I sent him about the Zodiac's real name being included in the first three cyphers sent to the Chronicle, Times-Herald and Examiner. This seems to be my best shot to date.
With every year more and more information is either lost or discarded and that makes it harder to find a solution to find the real killer. However, the one thing that sticks in my mind is the thought that why did the Zodiac wear the dickey up at Lake Berryessa unless he knew either Shepard or Hartnell and did not want to be identified by either of them in case one survived. Also when he parked his car near Hartnell's, why didn't he park closer so he didn't have to walk so far to get to where they were.
I hope the police made casts of the different tire treads and checked the different tire stores because usually on the sales slip they write the license number of the car.
There has to be a real good reason why the Zodiac usually killed the male first and then the female when there is a male - female couple.
Did we ever think that when the fisherman went to get help the ranger that came might have been involved?

Zodiac - New Information
In January of 2013 Ricardo Gomez sent me a Celebrity Post Card and I finally have made some progress in decoding what was written on the card. First I thought that the key had nothing to do with the Harden's key but then after a few hours things began to fall into place.
Oakland, Ca. was the postmark on the card and the date was 9 -25 - 90. It should be noted that the Lake Berryessa Anniversary was 9 - 27 - 69 when Hartnell and Shepard were attacked by the Zodiac and Shepard was killed. Using Oakland as a starter I figured out what the code said on the right side of the post card to the best of my knowledge.
It said: Do you
know
my name?
I'm....................
Now the third line on the left side of the card is yet to be solved along with the Zodiac's real name on both sides. There are two people so far who fit the name slot but I have to work on this tonight. 5 -6 - 14. Both are in the second DVD disk.
A good clue to the killer was the attack by the Zodiac at Lake Berryessa. Why was he wearing a hood or dickey if he planned to kill them both? Also, why would he travel 40 miles with this dickey to make a killing? The answer is that one of the two people KNEW THE ZODIAC. Also one of them, when interviewed in the film, was much too relaxed than he should be. Much too relaxed. Allen was a good suspect, and may have been involved, but the real killer,s name is on the post card.
His name might be an anagram alone by itself unlike the rest of the symbols on the card.

Blue Rock Springs - Zodiac
Hello fellow bloggers. Sorry to be missing for such a long time but I was busy with my show truck hobby and a hard chest cold. Now we're back in the pink again and ready to roll with new ideas on the Zodiac case.
Sometimes the truth is right in front of us - so close that we can't see it and that smears our thinking. Many times I've said that this case is so simple that it's hard to decipher. (No pun intended.)
I'm positive that it revolves around Vallejo and those involved in the early murders. Blue Rock Springs is the best example I think. When Darlene Ferrin and Mike Mageau were parked the killer pulled in behind them. He then left and came back with a loaded 9mm Luger and then got out of his car. Here is the critical point. Why did he walk to Mike's side instead of Darlene's? Why did he start firing at Mike first? He had to have a real personal reason for doing this. Jealousy!! It's quite possible that he was related directly to Mike. When Mike survived why did he leave the area for the long period of time that he did? Mike was full of bullet holes. Darlene, not quite so many but died of a bullet hole in the left side of her heart. The Zodiac fired only from the passenger side of the Corvair and didn't go over to Darlene's side. He intended to kill Mike. It's quite obvious who the Zodiac pro-bably is or was isn't it. Only a jealous blood relative could harbor such hatred. Darlene died of bullets hitting her in vital spots. The Zodiac was trying to kill Mike not her.
This is just a thought but I think it's a good one.
Also, all the clothes that Mike had on were not to look more bulky but were there for some protection - poor as it was.
Don't forget the beautiful website of Ricardo Gomez's mk-zodiac.com
PS. Too bad we don't have a voice graph from the VPD, if there was one, so we could match it with those in the Mageau family.
