A good way to catch a criminal is one that has been used for many years using the telephone. Every man has to have a woman that he can trust or confide in. This goes for all men. There seems to be a tendency to match the subject with the evidence instead of the reverse. This is the wrong way to solve a case especially one like the Zodiac case. You will find all kinds of weird combinations that appear to be right but all are not right. This type of thinking leads you into circular patterns of thinking which eventually lead you to the wrong person or persons. You must take the evidence and  set aside the person or people you like until you have assimilated all the evidence and then try to make a match with the best subject. If you don't you will have an almost impossible job of getting rid of subjects that you don't  want because your mind keeps slipping back into old patterns of thinking. I think this is what happened in the case of Arthur Leigh Allen. Also he didn't help things any because he kept taking responsibility for crimes he probably didn't commit. Of course there is the theory that he might not have known he was the Zodiac if in fact he really was.

Deciphering the cryptogram

It took most of the month of September 2012 to solve the 340 code. It took also one week of October. I used the key of the Harden couple from Salinus Ca. along with a few of my own. Most of the sentences of the Zodiac's were true to form - similar to his former ciphers especially the double D in his note "Badd news". You can see his peaks and valleys in his emotions as he wrote along with his detachment from reality. All of this was covered by a blanket of anger which was present in all his writing ---to be continued D. Lathers.

You can not teach a computer how to think like a human thinks. Those of you who are used to the garbage in and garbage out are going to be at a loss. When I solved the 340 code I memorized all the geography of the San Francisco area along with the personalities of all the people in the book of Robert Graysmith's. In all of the eleven sentences in the code all of them can be altered to a certain degree but the general meaning of the sentences can be understood. I never compromized the meaning of the sentences by assigning any letter to any code. Some codes stand for ten or eleven letters. A thread of numerology runs through all of the ciphers. In the solving of the 340 code it takes more than the knowledge of garbage in and garbage out that

the computer operator is so used to today.  When I solved the cipher  I memorized all the cities

around San Francisco along with all the personalities of those closely involved. You can

If one of the zodiac victims changed his last name and moved to Southern California the Zodiac must be alive and active. Also it might not be a  bad idea to DNA test all those involved  in the case. That means all involved.
